"The Poets' Magazine!" an open door!
Setting for newest gems, uncut before,
Of latent Wit and Humour! We divine,
With rod of potency! to spring a mine,
Fertile in beauty, genius, and power,
Illumined pages: sunny with a shower
Of sweet poetic fancies! We give birth

To help the aspirant—till he succeed;

And ask admittance, 'midst the Monthly Prose,
Who shall forbid us? sailing in the wake,
Now we at last a Poets' Corner take,
